Kitimat
Kitimat sits at the head of the Douglas Channel on the traditional territory of the Haisla Nation, roughly 60 kilometres south of Terrace along Highway 37. With a population of just over 8,000 and growing fast thanks to the LNG Canada mega-project, Kitimat is one of Northern BC's most dynamic communities.
The town was originally built in the 1950s as a planned community for Alcan (now Rio Tinto Alcan), and heavy industry remains the economic backbone. We specialize in industrial and corporate photography for the contractors, engineers, and businesses that serve these operations, from site documentation and safety milestone shoots to executive headshots and team photos. Beyond the industrial sector, Kitimat offers stunning natural beauty. The Kitimat River is renowned for world-class salmon and steelhead fishing, and Hirsch Creek Park, Radley Park, and the waterfront boardwalk are favourite locations for family portraits and engagement sessions. As the town welcomes new restaurants, shops, and an influx of young professionals, demand for professional photography has never been higher. We cover grand openings, community events at Riverlodge, school portraits, and real estate listings for the booming housing market. Our flat travel fee keeps things simple and affordable.
