Terrace & Northern BC

Prices start from $175 CAD (Aerial Gold, 1 hour), property sessions start from $275 CAD (Property Gold, 1 hour), portrait sessions start from $350 CAD (Portrait Gold, 1 hour, 15 edited images) and weddings start from $1,900 CAD (Wedding Gold). Every package price and photo limit is on the pricing page. Other work is quoted according to its package scope, and portrait packages include full-resolution digital files.

Delivery starts from 48 hours and depends on the package. Portrait and corporate packages are delivered in 5 business days and weddings in 21 to 42 business days. Each package on the pricing and service pages shows its own delivery time, and your date is confirmed before booking.

Solid colours and muted tones photograph best. Avoid busy patterns, large logos, and neon colours, and wear something that makes you feel confident. Layers add visual interest. For couples and families, coordinate (don't match exactly). Happy to help with outfit ideas for your session, just ask.

Yes. I'm based in Terrace, BC and the first 40 km each way from Terrace are free, then travel is $0.28 per km with a $20 minimum. I regularly cover sessions in Thornhill, Kitimat, Kitwanga, New Hazelton, Prince Rupert, and Port Edward. Any travel fee is added to your quote. Destination work elsewhere in BC is available on request. Travel accommodation and per diem would be quoted separately.

Yes, for personal use. Packages include full-resolution downloads and personal printing and sharing rights, and SS8 retains copyright. Business, advertising, and vendor use depends on the licence stated in your quote. Delivered files have no watermarks. SS8 may show some images in its portfolio unless you opt out; just tell us.

Use the online booking page: select your session type, pick an available date, and submit. You can also send me an email or use the contact form. Once we confirm details, I'll send an invoice for the retainer to lock in your date. The remaining balance is due before your final files are released.

You can cancel and get your retainer back, minus the card processing fee, if you cancel in writing within 48 hours of paying it (and your session is more than 7 days away). After that, the deposit is non-refundable. For any reason other than weather, you can move your date once, free, with at least 7 days notice. If rain, snow or wildfire smoke makes an outdoor shoot unsafe or unworkable, we move it free and your retainer carries over: we can decide up to the morning of the shoot, and you can ask up to 24 hours before. Weddings and events go ahead in any weather, with an indoor or covered backup agreed in planning. See the full policy on the Terms page.

Yes. A 30% deposit confirms your booking (50% for some high-value or higher-risk events, shown on your quote). This guarantees your date on my calendar and is applied toward your total. For weddings and larger projects, I can split the balance into two payments.

Yes. The gallery page shows a range of work across weddings, portraits, corporate, sports, and real estate. If you want to see work specifically relevant to your type of session (winter weddings, industrial corporate headshots, family portraits in specific locations), email me and I'll send a set of examples.

Video is available on request only: ask when you book and we will send a custom quote. Wedding films are not offered.

Through a private, password-protected online gallery, kept active for 90 days after delivery. You'll receive an email with the link when your gallery is ready. From there you can view, share with family, and download full-resolution files directly, no app required.

SS8 wedding coverage is planned for one photographer. We agree on a realistic timeline and priority shot list before the wedding so the important moments are covered.

Sometimes, yes. If I have an opening in my schedule, I'm happy to accommodate last-minute requests. Send me an email or check the booking page for current availability. For weddings and large events, I recommend booking 3-6 months in advance, especially for peak summer dates (June-September).
