SS8 Productions is operated by Anuj Dhakal, a sole proprietor based in Terrace, BC, Canada. We collect and use personal information in accordance with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

02 Information We Collect
- Name and contact information (email, phone) when you book a session or contact us
- Event details (date, location, type of session) necessary to fulfill your request
- Payment information processed securely through Stripe, we do not store card numbers
- Usage data (pages visited, browser type) via anonymous analytics
03 How We Use Your Information
- To communicate with you about bookings and deliverables
- To deliver your gallery and related services
- To send booking confirmations and invoices
- With your consent, to send occasional newsletters or promotions
04 Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers (Stripe for payments, cloud storage for galleries) under strict confidentiality
- Authorities when required by law
05 Photo Usage
Unless explicitly restricted in writing, we may use a selection of your images in our portfolio, website, and social media for marketing purposes. You may opt out at any time, email us with "Photo Opt-Out" in the subject line.
06 Data Retention
We retain booking and contact records for 7 years as required for tax purposes. Galleries are available for 90 days after delivery. Please download your photos during that time. After 90 days, contact us and we will help you get your photos back.
07 Your Rights
Under PIPA, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Contact us at [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days.
08 Cookies
We use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics. No third-party tracking cookies. No remarketing pixels.
On our public pages we use PostHog for anonymous website analytics and session recordings, so we can see which pages help and which confuse. Everything you type into a form is masked in recordings. We never record the client portal, and we do not send your name, email or phone number to PostHog.
We also honour Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Your choice is saved in this browser.
We also note how visitors found us (for example a Google search or Instagram) and which page they landed on, and if you fill in a form we keep that with your enquiry so we know what is working. This never includes your name or email in our analytics.

We'll post updates here with a revised date. For material changes we'll notify active clients by email.
10 Client Portal and Sign in with Google
Clients who have booked with us get a private client portal at ss8productions.com/client-portal. You can sign in with a username and password, with a one-time code sent to your email, or with your Google account.
When you choose Sign in with Google, Google shares only your name, your email address and whether that email is verified. We use this information for one purpose: to match you to the booking you made with us and sign you in to your own client portal. We do not receive your Google password, contacts, files or any other Google data, and we do not post anything to your Google account.
- We do not sell, rent or share this information with anyone.
- We keep a record of sign-ins (time and device) for security, stored in Canada on our own servers.
- Sign-in codes are stored only as a one-way hash and expire after 10 minutes.
- You can stop using Google sign-in at any time and remove SS8 Productions from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- To ask us to delete your client portal data, email [email protected]. We reply within 30 days, as required by BC PIPA.
Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
