New Hazelton sits where Highway 16 meets the Bulkley and Skeena rivers, in the heart of Gitxsan territory. The Hazeltons area - New Hazelton, Old Hazelton and Gitanmaax - is a centre for Gitxsan culture, forestry and tourism, and is home to the Ksan Historical Village.
It is roughly a ninety minute drive east of Terrace along Highway 16.
